so i have posted this question before, but people said i had to much in my cart for a beginner so i narrowed it down. tell me what you think:
-concealer
-powder
-blush
-eye shadow trio in neutral shades
-mascara in black
-brown eyepencil (i have blue eyes and fair skin)

and then these are the things im not sure if i should get. maybe for special occasions or stage:
-maybelline expertwear eyeshadow 8 pallette in hushed tints
-lipstick in nude/pink color (i dont like lipgloss)
-black eyeliner

so in the first set of makeup the total is $ 80, but with the things im not sure what i should get, the total would be $ 110 dollars. im 13 and in 8th grade btw. thanks!

I’m 13 / 8th grade too.
Personally I have superpale skin and blue eyes and all I use is Almay black eyeliner and tinted lip gloss.
And how do you get $ 110 ?!
I kind of think that it’s ridiculous that you would be allowed to spend money like that on makeup . :P

I’m currently using the maybelline stiletto liquid eyeliner, and i love it, but at the same time i’m not a fan of its glossy finish. I like eyeliners with a matte finish. are there any other good liquid liners that don’t have that glossy-ness?

I’m also looking for a good powder so set my makeup. I’m currently using the covergirl clean pressed powder, but it makes my skin look very dry and really accentuates things that shouldn’t be accentuated. again, i need something smooth and matte.

i also need a good liquid foundation. i’m currently using covergirl trublend foundation, but it tends to “melt” away. especially now that it’s summertime. I use 445 and it fits me perfectly and evens out my skin tone, but it’s also not much coverage, and again, it melts away so it tends to cake in certain areas. (it also makes me break out)

I’m 18, asian, medium skin tone, combination-oily (during the summer).

I always have trouble choosing makeup at drugstores, cause there are so many!

I know department store makeup is better, but please don’t list those, cause i’m just looking for drugstore makeup right now.

What is a makeup look i can do with this makeup? I want to enhance my features and make the pop i have dark blue with a hit of gray eyes, a square/heart face shape, and a large nose. I have moderate acne and i would like my makeup look to make my skin look flawless, and glowy.and bronzed.My eyes are rather small so i would like to make them look bigger and make my color really stand out. I would like a kind of natural ok, i mean not dark, but but medium to light naturally looking. I am not very confident and i would like some sort of makeup look that would make me feel good about myself.and i don’t have more than a half hour to put it on in the morning. I would either like a step by step tutorial or a video.Thank you! :) You help me soo much and anything is appreciated…

okay, you said u had small eyes; heres 2 tips:
dont put eyeliner all around if its dark
put white eyeliner on the bottom waterline they’ll apear fuller
blue eyes look nice with nude colors like tan peach and bronze
sweep a bit of bronzer on if its not orange ! it makes a sunkissed glow
and dont forget to cover up acne blemishes or sores with concealer!!!!!!

Currently I use Revlon Colorstay in the lightest shade (Ivory, I believe)
I set it with Maybelline Mineral Powder in the lightest shade.
But I always turn out orange!!!
So, I definitely need new foundation.
Which one would you choose?
And which lose powder?

I totally had that maybelline mineral powder and i turned orange too, so its not just you lol! I like to use revlon colorstay, and a translucent power to sent the foundation in place, with a light blush ontop to make it a more natural look. I would advise not using a power foundation as they dont tend to last as long as liquid. The best brands i have found are revlon and MAC.I hope i helped you,goodluck with it <3

Best makeup you have ever used?

Ok so It is time to throw out all of my old makeup, I want to go on a little makeup shopping spree. So I basically all of my life have used only drugstore makeup, most of my makeup being cover girl and maybelline. Blah.Well I never had much makeup and I never had the correct tools because it is so expensive.

But that has changed and I am looking for the best brands and what they are in the following things. I am looking for non drugstore brands, unless it is absolutely the best and you have tried every other non drugstore brand and it not as good.

Im looking for brands like:

Nars
M.A.C
Bare minerals
Bare escentuals
Chanel
Clinique
Anything in Sephora, that is specialty.

I have combination skin, I am a little oily in my t-zone, and rarely ever get breakouts. My skin color is on the lighter side, but is also on the tanner side. The most breakouts at a time that I will get is 1 pimple, with redness on my nose.
I am looking for things that won’t cake on and something that will make my skin look flawless. I wan’t things that are more natural and things that are more for going out.
I don’t know about coverage, I’m guessing it would be light coverage?

What I need:

Makeup primer
Foundation
Concealer
Makeup brush cleaner
Brush set
Eye shadow(I don’t like palettes with like 60 colors)
Blush
Mascara
Eye liner
Lipstick
Lipgloss
Eyelash curler
Powders(bronzers, loose powders, etc..)
Makeup remover(make sure it is not oily!)
Something that will make the bags under my eyes go away

Please include the color names and brush numbers

I use to use the makeup brands that Walmart carried but didnt like how they felt and lasted. My cousin had a mary kay party and I just went for her. I was hooked after that! Their makeup is about the same price as the other brands I was using but the quality is sooo much better. They have anything you could possibly want/need.
I personally love their mineral power foundation…it is a light weight foundation in a powder. It covers great, doesnt clogged my pores and it doesnt smudge or sweat off! Love it! Check out their website!

1. What are some good powders to set your makeup in?

2. What is a good brush to apply gel liner, onto your water line? (Some girls have used the “MAC 210 Eye Liner Brush”, but I don’t think I’m going to MAC today, and plus, it’s sort of expensive)

3. What is a good gel liner, that isn’t so expensive, and that is waterproof? (I’ve heard good things about the “Bobbi Brown Gel Liners”, but it’s sort of expensive for me right now)

4. What are good liquid, powder, and mouse foundations, for normal skin? (I’m not going to use all three of them, I just want to find out which ones would be best for me)

5. Do the “Maybelline Fit Me Foundations” work well for normal skin?

6. I basically use foundation to make my face look a bit more tan, because I wouldn’t say I’m pale, but I’m really white. So should I get a shade one or two darker than my skin tone, or what?

7. Does the “Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder” work well to set your makeup? (Is it even a powder to set your makeup with? And does it work well for normal skin?

7. I really only go to Maybelline for mascara… my friends say their other make up isn’t great quality.

9. It’s a bit expensive, but you do NOT want cheap concealer, you could break out, I recommend Laura Mercier.
10. Liquid, but I hate mousse.
